This course will discuss SWPPP development and specifically how the natural and biological resources on a project site should be considered. The plan to minimize impacts to these resources should be clearly communicated in the SWPPP narrative and depicted on the ESC Plan drawings. This will aid project staff and environmental inspectors in protecting the resources and maintaining permit compliance during project execution.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Upon completion, participant will be able to identify potential resources that could be present on their project site and understand the potential impacts from project activities.
  2. Upon completion, participant will better understand the permitting regulations for the resources on their project and some measures to avoid or mitigate impacts.
  3. Upon completion, participant will be able to better communication the presence and mitigation strategies for resources on their site within the SWPPP and to the construction site team and environmental monitors.
